Summer 2025

Summer 2025

Sewing Camp for kids ages 8–12! Perfect for beginners or those with some experience, this camp teaches essential sewing skills through fun, hands-on projects. Campers will create unique, handmade items and build confidence in their creativity.

Beginner Camp Details

No experience necessary!

After we learn how to use a sewing machine, we will kick off the camp by making a pillowcase (or two!). It’s the perfect beginner project.

In this program, we will also be making a customizable drawstring backpack. Kids can embroider, paint, draw or put patches on it and show it off in the new school year!

To build on the skills learned in the beginning of the course, kids will make a pair of PJ pants as their final project. How amazing it will be to wear something they made???

What’s provided?

  • Sewing machines will be provided. However if your child has their own, I encourage them to bring it to learn on their own machine.

  • Small sewing supplies, scissors, markers, paint etc. are provided.

  • Fabric for practice and for small projects is always provided.

  • Water and some fruit provided daily.

Sewing Clothes

Girls will make a dress. It was a HIGHLY requested project in my past camps.

It features a V-neck, sleeve and hem flounces and a button closure at the back.

Both boys and girls will receive a pattern for a pair of pants. They could be PJs, sweatpants or everyday pants depending on your choice of fabric.

If time allows, we will also make a raglan sleeve t-shirt. A staple in any closet!

  • Some prior sewing experience is required.

  • Students should know how to thread a sewing machine independently.

  • Participants should have completed a few sewing projects or have taken previous classes or camps with me.
